Welcome To B'nai Aviv - Conservative Synagogue of Weston
Welcome! B'nai Aviv is located in the beautiful Florida city of Weston. Our synagogue is a member of the The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. Over the past few years we have built the synagogue into a true extension of our community families. We offer Jewish education from pre-school to adult. Our Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and offers our children a healthy, social and educational experience under the care of a qualified staff. Our youth education programs are extensive as well, and B’nai Aviv is proud that we have one of the finest youth programs in the country. Our religious services are conducted by Rabbi Samuel Kieffer and Cantor William Lieberman, who have both been at B'nai Aviv for many years and are well known in the Jewish community. Our membership consists of young families, seniors, and singles, and whether you are already a member or someone looking for a Jewish house of worship to call home, everyone is welcome at B'nai Aviv. |

S'lichot Service September 20th |
Slichot Program - Saturday, September 20th Join your fellow congregants as we enter the High Holidays with a special dramatic reading of an original play: "Who Shall Live...?" In this provocative and engaging reading you will meet four unforgettable Jewish characters from diverse backgrounds as they grapple with some of the challenging themes of the Jewish High Holidays. You will identify with aspects of each character as you prepare for your own spiritual journey during these days of introspection. "Who Shall Live...?" will help you deepen the experience of the High Holidays.
We begin with schmoozing and noshing, from 9:15 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The dramatic presentation and discussion will occur between 10:00 and 11:00, followed by the Slichot Service conducted by the Rabbi and Cantor, accompanied by our choir. The service introduces us to the themes and melodies of some of the main prayers of these sacred days. The service will begin with a ceremonial changing of the Torah mantles from the colorful ones we use year-round to the white ones used throughout the Holiday period. |
